| Elvis Presley 1935-1977:An Appreciation by Mick Farren |
| In the wake of Elvis's death Mick Farren was writing for the NME and had the means and the contacts to put out an Elvis memorial poster. However, this was not just another another opportunist cash-in. Sure, Mick himself admits in his memoirs, Give the Anarchist a Cigarette, that he made 'a buck on the poster', but adds that 'along with my NME obituary it was also my tribute'. This then was a genuine homage to a hero of a generation. Here we reproduce the cover of that appreciation poster. |
